The Contender is ATD Customs' bull bar for the Ford Ranger Super Duty.
Designed, manufactured and fitted in-house in Crows Nest, Queensland, it reflects the same attention to detail, fitment and workmanship that has earned the trust of 70 Series owners across Australia.
WHY THE CONTENDER?
PURPOSE-BUILT FOR THE FORD RANGER SUPER DUTY
The Contender was designed specifically around the Ford Ranger Super Duty platform to complement the vehicle while balancing protection, cooling, accessory integration and usability.
DESIGNED WITH AIRFLOW IN MIND
The Ford Ranger Super Duty’s intercooler is positioned separately below the radiator, making airflow management an important consideration when adding front-end protection. The Contender has incorporated dedicated lower airflow openings to support airflow through the front of the vehicle and to the intercooler.
PROTECTED AUXILIARY LIGHT BARS
Recessed light bar mounting helps reduce exposure by positioning lighting further within the protection zone of the bar.
FULLY WELDED, BOXED-IN POSTS
The Contender’s posts are fully enclosed and welded as part of the overall structure. This provides a cleaner finish, improves coating coverage, reduces areas where dirt and debris can accumulate, and contributes to the overall structural integrity of the bar.
MAINTAINS FACTORY FUNCTIONALITY
The Contender has been designed to provide serious front-end protection while maintaining compatability with the features and functionality that owners expect from a modern touring and towing setup.

INITIAL RELEASE INFORMATION
Orders are currently open for customers able to bring their vehicle to ATD Customs in Crows Nest, Queensland. Shipping will open once installation procedures and fitting documentation have been completed.

RECOVERY
The Contender Bull Bar has been designed to facilitate the RUNVA 11XP winch. Our winch package is an additional $1,415 and includes:

Because the Runva 11XP requires preparation and modification prior to installation, ATD can only fit winches supplied by us as part of the upgraded Contender package. This ensures all components are correctly prepared and ready for installation on fitment day.
If installing a winch with this bar, the customer must organise a slimline number plate for the front of the vehicle, as a standard number plate will block winch access. Slimline plates can be ordered through your state's department of transport.

IMPORTANT
The Contender Bull Bar does not meet Western Australia's stricter design standards. If you are intending to register your car in Western Australia, we recommend you choose a bull bar from a different manufacturer as we don't currently have a compliant option.

We are now taking orders for our Ford Ranger Super Duty Bull bar! However, we are only accepting orders from customers who can bring their vehicle into our workshop in Crows Nest, QLD for fitment.
Can ATD's Ford Ranger Super Duty bull bar be shipped?
During the first production run, the initial bars will be installed exclusively at the ATD workshop while installation procedures are finalised. Once we've finalised our fitting and shipping processes, we'll start taking shipping orders as well.
